The story wasn’t the revenue line — it was the capex floor, the long-term lease commitments, and the spike in Meta’s CDS. The AI trade is now priced at the bond desk. Sponsored Jeff Brown is the former tech executive who called the rise of Bitcoin, Tesla, and Nvidia years in advance. He's now predicting Elon Musk is about to open a new wealth window by October 30\. [This Cybercab you see in this footage](https://email.etf-alert.com/6ad750f9e5cba94ee00dfd2a?user=%%{uuid}%%&domain=915ETFG&type=BLOG&product=PBRRM6&ref=etf-alert.ghost.io)is taking me to Elon Musk's new project… Which he called "the most epic AI project in history." This is so big that I believe it will open a brand-new "generational wealth window…" And whenever Elon opens one of those windows, people get rich. He opened his first wealth window in the late 1990s… With PayPal and its innovative digital payment technology. An early investor was able to turn a tiny stake of $1,600 into $3.8 million… Elon opened his second window with Tesla and its self-driving electric cars… Anyone who invested just $5,000 at the IPO… Would be sitting on more than $1.1 million today. He opened his third window with SpaceX and its revolutionary reusable rockets… Which gave early investors a chance to turn a single $100 bill into more than $6 million. And now, I believe he's about to open his fourth and perhaps last wealth window by the end of this month. [Click here to see the details…](https://email.etf-alert.com/6ad750f9e5cba94ee00dfd2a?user=%%{uuid}%%&domain=915ETFG&type=BLOG&product=PBRRM6&ref=etf-alert.ghost.io) Because it all begins with this project that I'm about to show you. We have so much to look forward to, Jeff Brown Founder & CEO, Brownstone Research The Q3 Beat Wasn’t the Tell Meta just posted better-than-anticipated Q3 revenue and the stock fell 6-7%, erasing about $124 billion in market value. The tell wasn’t in the P&L — it was in the price to insure Meta’s debt, which spiked after the company paired its $3.83 GAAP EPS beat with a sharp capex revision to $135-145 billion, lifting the 2026 floor to $135 billion from $130 billion. The company also disclosed roughly $825 billion in future leases and noncancelable contracts, up from nearly $700 billion in July, and warned it would need to raise billions over several years to fund its AI bet. The reaction was a flight to safety: 10-year yields fell 0.16 percentage points to just below 5%, the Nasdaq 100 dropped 2.9%, and the S&P 500 fell 1.2% as investors began pricing in the risks of Meta’s commitments. The Capex Numbers That Moved the Tape ![The Capex Numbers That Moved the Tape](https://b2ymoao3sf9zlswzgc.b-cdn.net/f2cddf83-335b-4cbd-86f4-b04ce663abe6.jpg) The market’s response to Meta’s Q3 results was both fast and brutal. This sizable step-up in spending shows the company is intensifying its AI investments. The cost to insure its debt spiked as those commitments landed. The Real Tell Was in the Credit Market The market punished a strong quarter not because Meta can’t earn, but because it may struggle to borrow. The $825 billion of commitments, paired with Meta’s own warning that it must raise billions over several years, pushed investors toward Treasuries and away from the stock. The risk investors are now pricing is financing stress, not profitability — AI-trade rollover risk and widening credit spreads across the hyperscaler complex. The Share-Structure Sweetener Nobody Is Pricing ![The Share-Structure Sweetener Nobody Is Pricing](https://b2ymoao3sf9zlswzgc.b-cdn.net/32277e3c-39b1-4fe7-b4b1-ee6529aa7231.jpg) The company announced a new share-structure sweetener: nonvoting Class C shares issued to all Class A stockholders as a 2-for-1 stock split. This move is designed to keep Zuckerberg in California and retain voting control if Proposition 40 passes on Election Day. It also gives Meta a fresh lever to fund the $825 billion in commitments and the billions it must raise over the coming years. What This Means for Your Portfolio ![What This Means for Your Portfolio](https://b2ymoao3sf9zlswzgc.b-cdn.net/1b7f19ff-8ac2-4983-8d95-10426ae2c241.jpg) Next week Alphabet, Amazon and Microsoft report — all top-weighted in major indexes, so disappointment has index-wide consequences for anyone holding Nasdaq-100 (QQQ) or S&P 500 (SPY, VOO) ETFs. Frame the capex catch-22: Meta spent more and fell 7%; Tesla cut spend to $20 billion from $25 billion. The variable to watch is no longer the earnings beat but the capex line and any language on debt or capital-raising. The legal overhang adds to the strain, with a New Mexico judge ordering Meta to pay $25 billion in the state’s consumer-harms case. The AI trade’s price discovery has shifted from the equity screen to the credit screen, and the next leg will be set by how Alphabet, Amazon and Microsoft talk about financing — not just how much they earned. Stay focused. Stay calm.
